About us

Openofficeplaza is a project to develop good, complete, free and freely available teaching-materials. This should be accessible for everyone, and free for everyone to use, edit and copy.

RedNose has started this project to on the one hand create an awareness about free and open-source software in general and OpenOffice in particular. Openofficeplaza is an extension of the OpenOffice.org initiative to develop, through cooperation, a free and open to everyone office-package. Free and freely accessible teaching-materials is a logical next step.

Next to that is RedNose the educator in OpenOffice training. We are able to test the teaching materials on quality, review and to guide the developments process in the right direction. We make sure the volunteers and coordinators, who are involved with the project are thoroughly educated.
